Parksale 2013

Better late then never! After the original date was cancelled due to the flooding in Calgary, PARK's annual summer market "Parksale" finally went ahead. That was two weeks ago now, but since Restyle was taking up the post-space during August I decided to hold off on posting about the event until it could get the attention it deserved.

This year's market was even bigger and better than last years, with more than fifty vendors. A large variety of handmade jewellry and clothing, inspiring photography, up-cycled art and fashion pieces and quirky paintings were on display, each booth offering something more unique and interesting than the last. I thought I would share some of my favourites with you. Be sure to support these Western Canadian artists and designers by checking out their websites and liking their Facebook pages!

A new take on the vintage key necklace by Fox and the Robin. Who knew that recycling an old house key could look so cute?!

I loved these pieces from Tink by Jenny...be sure to check out her facebook page for more pieces!

Some fun rock jewelry by Savage Grace Designs

A gorgeous vintage-inspired decorative display by Ana Ecal of Beso Event Design

I loved this display by Belle of the Boulevard
A few others I liked were Serendipity by Kelsey McIntyre (see a previous feature on her here!) Made With Love by Ginni and Kazz Clothing, by Ashley Kasdorf. If you didn't get to attend this year, be sure to check PARKs website for updates on their future events. Happy Wednesday!
Kari
