Last night I sipped champagne and munched on hors d’oeuvre at the exclusive launch event of Calgary’s newest store, Plenty. This little Canadian-born gem will be turning 25 next year, and currently boasts six locations including four in Vancouver, one in Victoria and now it’s first outside of B.C. at Chinook Centre here in Calgary. Plenty carries a wide variety of internationally renowned labels and exclusive lines, as well as their own in-house labels, which include Propaganda, Ribbon, Ribbon Luxe, Monk & Lou, and Big Blue.
Plenty may be in the mall, but like Aritzia it still has that boutique feel that I love. The clothes are a little pricier, but the quality is leagues above that of stores like Forever21 and H&M. Soft, oversize sweaters, patterned skinnies, trench coats and lace up boots give the store a laid-back, casual vibe. The grand opening is this Friday, so make sure to stop by for treats, in store giveaways and a chance to win $500!
