While it was pelting outside, SKYE & Staghorn got the audience into summer mode with their vividly printed couture swimwear. The incredible Sam Harris opened the show and radiated down the runway in an athletic one piece with neoprene and mesh detailing. Their entire collection had a focus on athletic silhouettes, what I love about their designs is the construction of the garments and the detailing of the digital prints, the mesh, the selective cutouts and textural use, that is what differs it from any regular swimwear label. Trend forecast for summer - as also noticed in the previous swimwear show We Are Handsome - the one piece is making a mega come back, and is sure to be high on your summer must-have list!
I have to note that this show left me both slightly depressed and motivated, the models were absolutely gorgeous and in top shape - as we only have a few months until summer kicks in properly - well I hope - I think it's time to get running or walking in my case!
